Campers showed true grit as they faced unexpected challenges, including a complete loss of power, water, and signal—thanks to local infrastructure woes. Yet, in true South African fashion, ingenuity prevailed. A heroic generator arrival lit up the camp, fridges stayed running through creative means, and spirits remained high despite the odds.

The weekend unfolded with a vibrant mix of activities and highlights. A lively music trivia evening set the tone, followed by the ever-competitive Willows Classic Mini Golf Tournament, where skill and strategy took centre stage. Fishing triumphs, gourmet burger showdowns, and the ever-entertaining campfire stories ensured there was never a dull moment.

Despite scorching heat testing everyone’s endurance, the committee kept morale high with refreshing ice creams and a hearty breakfast to close off the weekend. Awards were handed out in good humour, celebrating both triumphs and mishaps—adding to the legendary status of the event.
