This is the official Laager 21 Newsletter covering the club’s memorable Christmas Outspan held at DeHollandsche Molen from 5 to 7 December 2025.

Chairman Leighton Shaw shares a warm, detailed report of the weekend: Friday set-up with festive lights and “Mother Christmas” Sam handing out chocolates; a relaxed Saturday with town breakfasts, swimming, and the big Christmas dinner (braaied chicken by the team, plus member salads and desserts); table décor that “looked fantastic”; personalised Laager 21 pennants gifted to every member; a heartfelt gift exchange; and the traditional geselsvuur (campfire chats) on Sunday.

The Indaba minutes include attendance, prayers for the Skuce family, welcomes to new members Shaun & Bernadette Josephs, happy 40th anniversary wishes to Mandy & John Skuce, unit counts (14 caravans, 2 mobile homes, 2 campervans, 1 tent = 19 units total), and visitor lists.

Awards went to the best-decorated units (1st Africa, 2nd Murray, 3rd Carelse), with thanks to Lesley for prizes. Correspondence covers the upcoming Garden Route road trip to Plettenberg Bay Forever Resort (preferred dates 1–4 May 2026), while general items include decals for sale, clothing orders, Cristy Sports discounts, and a charity call for old sports equipment.

The light-hearted “Fines” section (mastered by Michael) lists fun penalties with all proceeds going to charity, and the Wooden Spoon was awarded to Marco to reassure him he truly belongs in the club. The newsletter ends with a vibrant photo booth of happy campers, the full 2026 outspan calendar, banking details, and club links.
